Annual Residential Trip to Carroty Wood, Tonbridge (April) – Year 5
Average Cost £300/£330:
This includes accommodation, catering, insurance, travel to and from the site and all activities. Children are provided
and fitted with safety equipment for instructed activities by the trained Carroty Wood centre staff.
BMXing, climbing wall, open canoeing, pedal-karting, raft building, archery, bushcraft, maze, bridge-building, swimming,
low ropes course, field sports, organised team building and games.
Accommodation: Woodland Lodge.
This is a self-contained building just for our school. Bedrooms sleep between 2 and 5. Each room has an en-suite
shower. Bed linen is provided. Children are provided with a wide choice at breakfast and then a cooked lunch and
evening meal each day. * (*On the Monday children need to be provided with a packed lunch and on Friday the

Deposit: £100 (non-refundable if the trip goes ahead) must be paid to secure a place. The cost of the trip can be paid in
Option A: Deposit of £100 plus cheque for balance by 31st January before the trip in April
Option B: Deposit of £100 plus post-dated cheques or equal payments to be paid by 31st January before the trip in April.
KIT LIST FOR CARROTY WOOD RESIDENTIAL TRIP ALL KIT MUST BE NAMED, (INCLUDING SHOES AND TOWELS)
Wrapped, loaf style cake (to be brought into school on the Friday before the trip)
Named unbreakable mug
Packed lunch and drink in a disposable bag/bottle
Named backpack containing complete change of clothes, including shoes and a towel
Lightweight waterproof with hood
Fleece jacket or similar
Outdoor shoes/trainers/walking boots (several pairs if possible)
Slippers/Plimsolls (for inside use only)
Washing Kit and small towel
(Hair scrunchies, etc. if you have long hair)
Joggers/tracksuit trousers (these will dry out quickly)
T-shirts/long or short sleeved
Sun-hat and sun cream (min factor 15)
Torch (and spare batteries)
Swimming gear and towel (in a carrier bag)
Book and/or small game (not electronic/battery driven)
Camera (optional) – a disposable one would be best
NO MOBILE PHONES/iPADS/iPODS/ELECTRONIC GAMES/MAKE-UP/JEWELLERY ETC.
A small toy, book or notebook and pen will suffice as there will be very little free-time.
All meals are provided and therefore no additional food, sweets, drinks should be sent.
